The School of Architecture at CUHK has been selected to represent the cities of Hong Kong and Shenzhen in the 1st International Architecture and Urbanism Biennale in Seoul, as one of the 50 international participants in its main exhibition.

Co-curated by Prof. Peter Ferretto and Prof. Doreen Liu, By-City / By-Product is an installation portraying a series of urban conditions of the two detached yet interconnected cities. Through a scaffolding structure acting as a matrix, drawings of Hong Kong are juxtaposed against dynamic videos of Shenzhen, revealing the different facets of the neighbouring cities.
