A number of CUHK architecture alumni, adjunct faculty members and students participate in the 2019 Hong Kong Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture.


While alumni Alan Cheung (MArch 2007) and Sarah Mui (BSSc 2006) of One Bite Design Studio are co-curators of the exhibition, where they present “The Pulse of Hong Kong”, an interactive installation co-created by Yuki Yeung (BSSc 2019), other alumni Gary Ng (MArch 2009), Karr Yip (MArch 2003) of DxT, Joshua Lam (MArch 2018) of Hong Kong Public Space Initiative, Alvin Kung (MArch 2010) of Ronald Lu & Partners, Rina Ko (MArch 2014) and Mo Kar-him (PhD 2017, currently Lecturer at our School) of Project Hap Sap also join the Biennale as exhibitors.


In addition, Prof. Yutaka Yano of SKY YUTAKA showcases transformable installation “Wearable Space”, whereas Prof. Sujata Govada of Institute for Sustainable Urbanisation & UDP International presents the Smart Cultural Precinct proposal for the Central district. Students of our BSSc (Urban Studies) and MSc (Urban Design) programmes also re-stage their Mobile City Lab exhibition at the Biennale.
