In December 2022, the School organised a 13-day studio trip to Nairobi of Kenya, as part of the "Africa Lab" initiative launched by the School. Led by Prof. Peter Ferretto, our MArch students visited urban and rural sites and communities, observing and discussing problems the locals faced.

During the trip, students were to design architecture projects with purpose, and which promoted human dignity. Students met with representatives from organisations and institutions such as UN Habitat, University of Nairobi and NGOs, focusing on examples of the type of humanitarian, socially responsible architecture currently active in Africa.
