Philip Clarkeis a Cambridge and Harvard-educated Architect and Urbanist with 20 years of experience, passionate about the city and public space.

As Project Director for Digital Place-making at the Oval Partnership, he leads a team championing evidence-based design through the use of a toolkit of data-driven processes harnessing people data, analytics and the networks of place. Urban analytics, modelling, and forecasting enable evidence-based planning, design and place curation that harness the power of networks to provide a comprehensive understanding of urban processes that underpin our ‘Narrative Place-making’ – a process that enables us to create engaging, deeply human, social, and truly interconnected successful places.

To the role Philip brings a wealth of design knowledge in professional practice, having worked at Norman Foster and Eric Parry amongst others to contribute to successful, considered civic places for today’s – and tomorrow’s – changing market.
