The School of Architecture at CUHK is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Professor Colin Fournier, who served as a Visiting Professor from 2013 to 2016. During his time with us, Colin became an integral part of our school community, forming strong bonds with our faculty and inspiring a new generation of architects in Hong Kong. His unwavering passion for architecture was evident in his teaching, he always encouraged students to push their creative boundaries, think differently, and strive to make a meaningful impact through design.
Teaching and design were at the core of Colin’s being; he taught us that architecture is not just a profession but a way of life, rooted in understanding how we inhabit spaces. Colin’s joyful demeanour and positive energy left a lasting impression on all who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire us. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
