CUHK alumni Jacqueline Yu Hoi Tung(MArch 2012) and Mig Lau Chung Ming (MArch 2016) have been awarded the DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award 2022.

Jacqueline’s vision is to create a vibrant cityscape and inspire others through architecture, and she does so by experimenting with new ideas that challenge general perceptions. With the sponsorship, she plans to work in architectural firms in Copenhagen and London to understand their design interventions and the latest technology.

Mig has always been fascinated by concrete and its aesthetic properties. He turned it into a creative medium and produced concrete artwork over the years. Mig plans to further his study of architectural preservation technology for old buildings, and to learn hands-on craftsmanship skills.

DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award, established in 2005, aims to nurture up-and-coming design practitioners and design graduates by supporting them to work or study abroad.
