Our architecture graduate Hong Ching Wah, Don(MArch 2021) has been awarded the DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award 2023.

Don’s research focuses on urban spaces, heritage preservation, and public-private dynamics. Supported by the HKIA and Design Trust, his project "Retail Reset" examines Hong Kong's public housing estate retail centers as community infrastructure. He co-founded Kongcept, an online and offline platform showcasing local architecture and culture. Through Kongcept's mobile app, developed with support from CUHK, City University of Hong Kong and Science Park, users can access guided tours and a comprehensive cultural archive. Don also collaborates on "A Dialogue of Public Housing Legacy between HK & UK," exploring interactive public education.

DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award, established in 2005, aims to nurture up-and-coming design practitioners and design graduates by supporting them to work or study abroad.
