A group of our BSSc Year 2 students (Fong Sze Yuet, Kan Michelle Ming Sheung, Leung Tsz Hei, LI Yisi, Pang Tze Ching) have participated in the 10th Southwest Jiaotong University “Tianfu Construction Festival” and won the First Prize. Under the theme "Youth Community," contestants are required to design a station that expresses the spatial representation of the university students' youthful lives.

Led by Prof. WANG Shuaizhong and Ms. ZHAO Hanbing, our students designed and constructed a pavilion consisting of 8 columns of varied shapes and a roof structure, demonstrating their interpretation of the diverse, inclusive, and unified spirit of youth. Each individual column was designed based on various body gestures of the students, such as dancing, standing, and jumping. All the columns were arranged together and curated by the roof, which is minimized visually and structurally to highlight the diversity of the columns.

The competition was organized by Southwest Jiaotong University and featured the participation of 24 teams from Mainland, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
