Reconnecting with Trees

A low-level radioactive waste storage facility and a former detention centre are found on the Soko Islands, a group of remote islands in the southwestern waters off Lantau Island. However, the Islands actually have high biodiversity and their nearby waters are home to the Indo-Pacific humpbacked dolphins. The project reimages the Soko Islands as a nature reserve, building a greenhouse for growing rare tree species as an alternative use.
