In a developed city, old industrial buildings are always turned into storage or taken down for redevelopment. The project suggests renovating this kind of industrial heritage into public sphere with workshops and communal space. The heritage serves not only as a collective memory for many, but also a site that facilitates interaction between the craftsmen and the public, creating a community of the “making” culture.
