Introduction

Dr. He is Research Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture, CUHK. His research focus on sustainable urban design/planning and microclimate modelling. His research interests cover 1) high-density urban morphology; 2) pedestrian-level wind environment; 3) upper-air wind profiling; 4) urban extreme hot weather; and 5) indoor air quality and thermal comfort. He has expertise in wind tunnel and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling tools, as well as Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) remote sensing technology. His works aim to: 1) gain better understanding of wind, heat and other microclimate behaviors in built environment; as well as 2) deliver practical design/planning solutions for improving living environment and human health in high-density cities.
