ICDS GSD2014 01 e1479782459878

A group of our MArch students presented their design projects at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design (GSD) in May 2014, concluding a joint design studio led by Prof. Doreen Liu in collaboration with the GSD Urban Design studio, chaired by former GSD Dean Prof. Peter Rowe. Back in February 2014, a group of Harvard’s graduate students visited Shenzhen for a one-week field trip, researching the theme of industrial reuse at Shekou and interacting with the CUHK team. Each group developed their projects afterwards and presented their final results together at Harvard.

Accompanied by Prof. Liu, Prof. Thomas Chung and School Director Prof. Nelson Chen, a Harvard alumnus, the CUHK students attended other review sessions during their GSD visit to see the range of student works there. Besides official duties, they also visited Boston, Exeter and New York City to tour outstanding architectural works such as 40 Bond Street in New York City designed by Herzog & de Meuron.
