BSSc students win SEU Design Competition for Architecture Students

CUHK architecture student Zhao Hui (BSSc Year 4) has become one of the two students to represent China in the annual Asian Contest of Architectural Rookie’s Award, competing with counterparts from around the region for the final prize. Among more than 900 submissions, Zhao’s U2 studio project “In-and-out Boxes” has won the Top Two title in the national Rookie’s Award competition hosted by Southeast University in Nanjing. CUHK student He Haoyu (BSSc Year 3) has also received the Best Freshman prize for his U2 studio project “Into the Woods”.


The Asian Contest of Architectural Rookie’s Award judges and evaluates architectural works selected from around the continent, promoting cultural exchange through architecture while exploring the architectural design education in each participating country.
