CUHK architecture students received three of the six student prizes at the HKIA Cross-Strait Architectural Design Symposium and Awards 2017: Derrick Leong (MArch 1) has won the Gold Award for his project “The Functional Hub: Speed, Density, Diversity and Resource Consumption”, whereas Albert Chan (MArch 1) and Ciara Lo (BSSc Year 4) were given the Bronze Awards.


The design competition invited architecture students in Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China and Taiwan to contribute ideas that respond to the theme of CADSA 2017, “Speed, Density and Diversity – Cross-Straits Architecture”, which describes the current architectural and urban phenomenon in the region.
