CUHK architecture graduate Nichol Wong Long-hin (MArch 2019) has been selected as a finalist at this year’s INSPIRELI AWARDS – one of the biggest global student competitions in architecture, urban design and interior design – for his MArch thesis project “Post-Digital Timber Architecture”.

Supervised by Prof. Kristof Crolla, the project explores non-standard, high-performance sustainable timber architectural design. It investigates new methods for traditional glue-laminated timber construction, with the aim to practically integrate them into hyper light-weight structural systems.
