Nelson Chen Architects Ltd, the practice led for 35 years by former School Director Prof. Nelson Chen, received the Architecture Firm Award from the American Institute of Architects International Region “in recognition of exceptional contributions to the profession and society for its leading design achievements, professional integrity and public-spirited service.”

This award was announced in 2020 but, due to the pandemic, a presentation ceremony was postponed until this year. Professor Chen expressed appreciation for the collaborative efforts of his team in a practice where the average tenure of all current staff is nearly 20 years. Nelson Chen Architects Ltd have received over 40 professional design and sustainability awards.
