CUHK architecture graduate Wendy Tang (MArch 2019) has won the Silver Award (Student Category) at the HKIA Cross-Strait Architectural Design Symposium and Awards 2019, for her MArch thesis project “Homo Civilis Hong Kong – Liminality in Time and Space, 1997-2047”, supervised by Prof. Nelson Chen. Projects by two other graduates, Joshua Lam (MArch 2018, supervised by Prof. Thomas Chung) and Luke Yau (MArch 2019, supervised by Prof. Patrick Hwang), as well as current MArch students Kong Cheuk-kin (supervised by Prof. Adam Fingrut) and Circle Yuen (supervised by Prof. David Dernie), have also received honourable mentions in the same category.


The HKIA CADSA 2019 serves as a platform to recognise design excellence in Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China and Taiwan that contributes to better living, economic advancement, social impact and knowledge production through creativity and innovation.
