Sim-Plex Design Studio, the architecture and interior design studio founded by our alumni Lam Kwai Pui Patrick (MArch 2010), has received the Dezeen Awards 2020 in the “Small Interior of the Year” category. Being the first Hong Kong studio to win this award, the project converts a two-bedroom living space into a four-bedroom smart home combining technological hardware with natural materials to create a serene “zen” space that takes reference of traditional Feng Shui doctrine. Dezeen judges praised the project for its clever design details, which achieves a “sense of comfort and luxury within a challenging and highly functional space.”
Dezeen Awards is launched by Dezeen, one of the most popular design magazines, in 2018 to honour worldwide architecture, design and interior achievements.
